I Passed 70-291 with 960/1000, "ALHAMDULILLAH" few months ago.
why not 1000? because Corrections below were not known before my test.

Very Sorry For being late to right this Guide , Especially for those who asked alot for it.

Materials:

Corrections:

All u need for 70-291 is Evilrens vce from link above And corrections.
Sims needed are only three wich are included in the same vce.
One of the sims is made on a video in the link above.

Corrections:

1. The question about DNS.
One main office and 4 sites. 2 locations connected with high speed links and 2 with low speed.
The question stated that even the sites connected with low speed should get zone updates,
since the main office was planning changes to NS records.
So choose the Stub Zone for the sites connected with low speed links.


2. Question No. 108 WSUS on perimeter network have to "Save the updates to a local folder" not Maintain Updates on Windows Update Server (Server on the Perimeter Network)

3. Question No. 107
EvilRen - (User Settings Section) is wrong. should be (Computer Settings Section) as in p4s


4.RRAS sim correction

Routing and Remote Access Simulation: Make sure when you create an Inbound Filter that you also choose the option to "Receive all packets accept those that meet the criteria below" because it automatically defaults to "Drop all packets accept those that meet the criteria below".

Be careful when choosing the network interface on static routing in RRAS simulation,
Question states:
* Add a static route for the 192,168.3.0/24 to be getaway for 192.168.4.245?
Chose the Local Are Network 2 that belongs to the same network as getaway requested by a question, not a Local Are Network.

Questions about simulators

Simulator 1
Delegation

Create user localadmin

There is OU Sales and groups
ChangePassword
CreateAccount
ModifyMembership
or something like those names

need delegate control for OU Sales to that user or to those group ??? - don't remember exactly

as following below

Create, delete and manage user accounts
Reset user passwords
Modify the membership of a group

I got it that whould be done for each group, but ....

what and how should be done? What is correct way below?

right click on Sales >> Delegate Control
In Delegation of Control wizard, pick first group and delegate appropriate task.
Do that for each grop

OR just pick user localadmin and delegate all task to him?

Is that correct way?

Expand tree server name >> IP Routing >> General >> highlight IP connection, where filtering should be done >> Properties >> tab General >> Inbound Filters >> click Add IP Filter >> put check mark on Source Network and Destination Network >> type IPs and subnet masks for Source and Destination >> OK
DONE!?
For exmple - at my sim I tred to put some IP and mask like 192.168.50.1 255.255.255.0 and it's saying "IP and sub mask not compatible"

What should be there?

kattaip, first advice is to read all questions carefully, maybe 2 or 3 times will be fine...
in first sim you should delegate different types of control to different groups (look at the column title), not to local admin

kattaip, it's not neccessary to define destination network in 2nd sim
your error is in value of network address, because network address must end with .0 octet. eg: 192.168.10.0, 192.168.5.0, not 192.168.5.1 (that is host address), subnet mask is of correct value

i have some doubt about correction for q.107... in my opinion there must be "user settings", because one state of application starts at computer startup with "Local system" account, and second state is tried to be run by worm from user account. Isn't it ?
otherwise new setting in Default Domain GPO will overwrite the one configured earlier by sysadmin

I already realized about delegation control to the groups and just curios how I can check out where and to what delegation applied...


that Sim looks intuitive in some way 'cause first part says - Change RRAS access policy and add grant Domain Admins access permissions.

Second part is create static route - again looks simple, just create new Static Route with required settings...

Third part is creating Inbound filter for dedicated IP...

Just passed the 70-291 Exam 2 hours ago with 920/1000!

I took the exam in Switzerland and there were 54 question in total.

ALL QUESTIONS WERE FROM THE EVILREN VCE ON THIS POST (I think there were only 1 or 2 question I did not recognize).
The latest Pass4Sure has the same questions with better illustrations, BUT no explanation (which I like to read so I actually learn something too)

ALL 3 SIMULATIONS WERE ON THE TEST
- The simulation with RRAS did NOT request for RIP to be configured.
- On AD question where you need to add a Domain Admin account and delegate control, I did not know what to use as a temporary password so I tried "password" but that did not meet the security requirements so I reset the simulation and used "Domainadmin1" I think you can enter anything as long as it meets the default minimum password security requirement. I created that new Domain Admin account in the "Users" folder.

I simply read though the entire VCE once, watched the simulation video tutorials that were posted here:

and then checked all the corrections Lordyyy made.

i passed 70-291 yesterday with 920/1000. The exams were 46 questions (included 3 simulations).

All information provided by Lordyyyy are still valid. All questions were coming from evilren's vce and the corrections.

In the real exam, within simulation be careful to enter password for DomainAdmin1 that will be acceptable by the server rule (ex. p@$$w0rd instead of simple 'password'). In RRAS simulation, there were several differences. when i made new routing protocol, it did not effect anything, apparently then i checked RIP was already there. also the sim asked me to create inbound packet filter on local area connection 2 (not local area connection 3).

The drop and drag with the main server and 4 sites is 2 different questions. The 1st as you said < The question stated that even the sites connected with low speed should get zone updates > In this question the main site is Bogotá, and does use the Stub Zone

The second example has a main site of Cairo and refers to the minimum hardware requirements this question does use a Conditional Forwarder.

In this Qn, as per my understanding the right answer is

on Testking12 is 1st Option is Syncronized directly from the windows . .. . . .
2nd Option is Save the update local folder . . . . . . . .
this please confirm?

I had a hard time locating this question, but I think it is this one below:


First is this the correct question at hand? If it is, I'm assuming that the correct answer is C, instead of D that is listed for the VCE?

Last correction is this listed:

However, the above is correct EXCEPT for TestKing 12, in which the bottom segment should be "Save the updates to a local folder" instead of "Maintain Updates on Windows Update Server". That is the only change and the rest is correct?

Don't forget that 70-291 has simulations. I suggest you to use Microsoft.TestKing.70-291.v42.0.by.Dulli99.357q.with.Sims.vce.

i just wrote mine i mean 70-291 today 02/05/2008 material still valid. i got 905.thanks to lorddy yy.and the entire member of the forum. i mean evilren VCE.All the question are from it.one sim and 47 question.
