Crossed #0-6 Of 9 (Update)

Crossed is a a nine-issue limited series (10 if you count #0) written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Jacen Burrows and published by Avatar Press. It began with Crossed #0 in August 27, 2008. It follows survivors dealing with a zombie-like plague that causes it victims to carry out their most evil thoughts and wishes, including murder, rape, mutilation, arson, etc. Carriers of the virus are known as the Crossed since a cross-like rash appears on their faces. This contagion is primarily spread through bite wounds but can be spread by any bodily fluid, which the Crossed use to deadly effect in one instance by treating their ammunition with their infected fluids, making even a flesh wound a disease vector. The main story takes place ten months after the first outbreaks, with flashbacks to those events. It is narrated in the past tense. As with Garth Ennis' Living Dead comics, graphic, violent, and even more sexually explicit. Intended for Mature readers.
