The second edition of Fundamentals of English Grammar includes all grammar areas that are important at the intermediate level. These include personal pronouns; forms of other; connecting ideas with coordinating and subordinating conjunctions, and comparisons; the use of must to make logical conclusions; expressing immediate future with be, about to; nonspecific vs. specific pronouns (e.g., May I have one vs. May I have it); uncompleted infinitives; and using a gerund after a preposition.
