Grimm Fairy Tales: Return To Wonderland Complete Part 1

Return to Wonderland is a Grimm Fairy Tales spin-off and 7-part limited series written by Raven Gregory that made its debut on May 2007 with Issue #0. The series tells the tale of Alice Liddell, the heroine of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and her teenage daughter, Calie Liddell (an anagram of "Alice").

Alice is no longer the little girl who fell down the rabbit hole and discovered Wonderland. Now an adult, she once tried to commit suicide by slitting her wrists. Mentally disturbed and in a dream-like state, her only link to reality is the disturbing white rabbit that she clings to.

Calie, not wanting to deal with her mother's mental illness, is now a substance-abusing, alcoholic, promiscuous party girl. The series will deal with the entire Liddell family, Alice's childhood, and Calie venturing into a darker and more frightening Wonderland than the one her mother knows.

The subsequent issues were not regularly published on a monthly basis; issues 1 & 2 came out in July of 2007; 3 & 4 were released on September and October, 2007, respectively; issue 5 was released December 2007; and the last issue, 6, came out in February 2008. The following month Zenescope Entertainment, Inc. decided to come out with a special Return to Wonderland Cover Gallery issue co-edited by the series writer Raven Gregory and Zenescope Editor-in-Chief Ralph Tedesco. Tedesco himself wrote the foreword of this special issue that features covers and exclusive artwork based on the Return to Wonderland series.
