Hi the Sadikhovas. I just passed my CCNA exam on Friday and now I want to study MCSE. Now I need the study guide that will help me gain knowledge, grasp the concepts and understanding that will be useful when on the job. I want study to understand, then I will worry about passing once I know my stuff. So, sadikhovas, if I can get the complete study guide for MCSE, that will highly appreciated.

In my opinion, before you start trying to "just pass the tests", you should do some lab work (either with several PCs, several Virtual Machines, or a combination). If you have an MCSE with no work experience, it will be hard to get hired. And, if you just passed the test without practice, you may fail the technical interview. So what can a fellow do?

My recommendation is get eval software either from MS or the CDs in study books... your local used book store might have these for as little as $5.00... Get Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, and Windows XP. Practice installing the OS a few times. Get to know the differences and similarities. Read the free technical specifications. Practice setting up a small network (2-5 computers) and sharing files and printers. Practice backup and restore. Buy the "System Administrator's Companion" for each server OS, if you can.

Then--before the tests--try to get a small job (even a volunteer gig at your local church, synagogue, mosque, or temple) doing the stuff you think you want to do. Don't spend the hundred os dollars on the tests if you hate Sysadmin work. Work as hard as if they were paying you top dollar. You'll want a glowing reference from them. Maybe even do a few of these jobs. Maybe you can even arrange for one of these places to sponsor your books and test fees in lieu of direct payment to you.

Okay, by now you have knowledge and experience. If you are still interested, go to MS website ("hxxp://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcse/windows2003/default.mspx") and find the study topics for the tests you want to take. Then study those points and pass the tests. MCSE can be as many as 7 tests at $125 each, so study well!

May you find the career you want!

Thanks for your advice man. Like I said, I want the study guides that will help me understand and again help me with what will be the real situation at the working environment, something that will help me practically. I am not worried about test or exam at the moment because I believe in studying, knowing my stuff, then that will be enough to tackle any question as I will be exposed to the knowledge. I need the stuying material, not the exam but for laying the strong and good foundation for my self, I need the resources.

Thanks a million, I trust the sadikhovas.
