These links contains the software ONLY and some of the product might require a license to use. WCS, CSC-SSM and AIP-SSM require a license, but the rest does NOT require any licenses. The exception is when running some of the software using some kind of emulator like running the PIX software using PEMU then a serial and activation key is required. Before upgrading do yourself a favor and find the release note on the cisco website and make sure you fulfil the requirements. Some of the software might require a specific existing version to upgrade, a certain amount of ram/flash or have a special upgrade procedures.

Some security products does not work well with the firewall included in the Cisco VPN client and may cause bluescreen or profile corruption. This package is exactly the same, but without the included firewall which is a very limited Zonealarm FW version. Example of products that might cause such problems is F-Secure and Trend Officescan, but there are others as well. If you experience such a problem the VPN client without the firewall might be a better option.

Some of the software you can use with some kind of emulator, some is software to be installed on a Windows/Linux server and some to be installed on a Windows client. Some of this software you need the hardware from cisco as well since there is no emulator available where it will work as far as i know. So there is no common answer for all of this. You could read about the products on the cisco web site which is most likely much better then me or anyone else trying to explain what it is in this forum. If you don't know what it is you most likely don't need any of this. It will be very time consuming trying to explain what all this stuff is and do, but i'll give you a very short description.

- PIX and ASA is hardware firewalls from Cisco
- CSC-SSM and CSC-SSM is extra HW modules for the ASA for antivirus, spam, URL filter and IPS features
- The FWSM is almost the same as a PIX, but it's a blade to be used with a Catalyst 6500 switch or the 7600 series routers (not a standalone box)
- WLC/WLCM/WiSM is a centralised wireless solution from Cisco (WiSM is a blade for 6500/7600 and WLCM is a module for routers)
- WCS is a management system to be installed on a Windows or Linux server to be used with the WLC/WLCM/WiSM
- ACS is a Radius/Tacacs+ server from Cisco
- The VPN Clients is just what is says......a IPSec VPN client for Windows
- The Anyconnect client is a SSL VPN client that can be used with the ASA

You are not the first to download those files, but no one else said anything about a CRC error. I tried to download these two files using the links above and extracted without any errors. So it looks like the files you downloaded is corrupted for some reason, but the source files (rapidshare files) seems to be ok. You could use some software to check the MD5 and compare to the MD5 shown below. If not identical the files you downloaded is not the same as those found using the RS links. In that case you should download again since your files is corrupted for some reason. If you download again and the MD5 is still not the same something happen to the files during download and then you could try to download using another computer or try to figure out why your downloads become corrupted. All i know is that the RS files are ok.
